GET INFORMED

Election season is well upon us and with so many choices out there, the right choice for you may not be so clear. We all have different opinions on all the issues. Some issues are more important to different people, and you want to know what each candidate has to say on each issue so you can make an informed decision.

The key words being informed. It is important to me to know what each candidate supports and what they are against. Sometimes we need to look beyond the key issues that we think are more important and see what each candidate thinks about other issues. Go ahead and ask them about a certain issue, I’m sure they will take the time to talk to you.

Now, it’s no great mystery that Veteran and Military issues are at the top of my list of most important issues but I also realize that there are important issues that will shape our community in the future and how life will be in years to come. How will taxes and new energy affect us ten years from now? How safe is our food supply? Is Global Warming real or just a natural cycle? There is a lot of information on the internet but which source is reliable?

It’s kind of sad when more people in our country are voting for a reality TV show than in a major election. This next election is very important and I for one am going to make the best decision that I possibly can. I owe to my children and grandchildren. So I don’t care which party you support, or what you views are, get informed and vote. It’s not really that bad.
