Elbert County Remains at a
Stage II Burn Restriction by Toni Gibbons As a reminder, Elbert County remains at a stage II burn restriction due to continued dry conditions, high winds, and low fuel moistures. The Fourth of July is a festive holiday. It’s important to note that personal use of fireworks are prohibited and carry a minimum enforcement penalty of $110 by county ordinance 06-01. It is recommended to check with your local fire protection district on controlled firework shows within your area.
